Luis Larco

Is a senior software engineer at X, the moonshot factory (formerly known as Google X), working on the Taara project, which aims to expand global access to fast and affordable Internet using beams of light. He was born in Lima, Peru, grew up in Miami, Florida, and graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology with degrees in electronic engineering and computer engineering. Luis has been working at Alphabet for over 8 years, where he has been part of many projects including Android, Google Street View, Google Brain, Makani, Loon, and X. In his free time, Luis loves to explore mountains, ride bikes, ski, and play the guitar and bass.
