He was born in Lima, Peru, grew up in Miami, Florida, and graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology with degrees in electronic engineering and computer engineering. Luis has been working at Alphabet for over 8 years, where he has been part of many projects including Android, Google Street View, Google Brain, Makani, Loon, and X.
